How does it work?
The main effectiveness of the Emsella pelvic floor trainer chair treatment is based on focused electromagnetic energy. A single session of Emsella treatment induces thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions – these are extremely important in the muscle re-education of inconsistent patients.
This non-invasive, lunchtime treatment penetrates targeted pelvic floor tissue and stimulates muscles to build strength and restore support for pelvic organs. The Emsella does all the work, initiating intensive pelvic floor exercises through 11,200 muscle contractions in just 28 minutes. Stronger pelvic floor muscles result in a tighter vaginal wall and a decrease in urinary incontinence. With dramatic results that are immediate and ongoing, the Emsella offers a solution to debilitating issues without needing to undergo surgery or any other invasive treatment.
How long is a session?
A treatment session with the Emsella takes around 30 minutes. Some improvement of symptoms is expected from the very first session, though we advise 2 treatments a week for 3 weeks (6 in total) for the best results. Most patients report no discomfort during the treatment while some report mild, tolerable contractions. These contractions have the effect of the same number of pelvic exercises, with no effort required from the patient. The Emsella is a walk-in walk-out procedure with no downtime and the patient remains fully clothed and able to resume normal activity immediately.
