COVID-19 pandemic

My Dear Patients,

As we all do our best to adjust to a new way of living during the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to let you know that my practice will remain open for “face to face” consultations only in Cape Town. I have introduced video consultation as an alternative. I encourage you to make use of video consultations even if you still end up visiting the practice for clinical assessment, as it will shorten your visit time spent in the practice.

Please note that the Cape Town practice has moved to Wembley Square SCIN clinic, Solan St, Gardens.

You can book an appointment via an online booking system – or via email – or by calling the practice 0214656557 / 0762420027.

We are taking all the necessary precautions in the practice by spacing the appointments, having minimum staff in the clinic, providing and performing frequent hand washing and hand sanitisation, disinfecting all surfaces and equipment in consultation and examination rooms after each patient. I will be wearing personal protective equipment at a level necessary for a particular encounter.

We kindly ask you not to visit the practice if you were overseas in the past two weeks, were in contact with anyone infected with COVID-19, are experiencing flu-like symptoms or fever, are older than 70 years, or have underlying chronic medical conditions. I advise you to book a video consultation instead.

I have put measures in place to be able to provide home visits including clinical examination and pelvic ultrasound in exceptional circumstances.

I am hoping that you feel reassured that your gynaecological problems will be addressed if necessary even at this particularly difficult time.

I am thinking of all of you and sending you a big virtual hug.

Keep safe and healthy.

Dr Natalia Novikova
